On the 31st of May, 2018, members of the NESTOR consortium gathered at De Villa in the city of Nijmegen, the Netherlands, for our annual get-together meeting. Highlights of the day included presentations from researchers and students, and round-table discussions together with our industry partners and representatives from organizations for the blind and the visually impaired. Also in attendance were our clinical and neurosurgical advisors, who helped to shape our goals and plans for the future. Finally, we were taken on an enriching tour of the muZIEum, Nijmegen- an immersive museum that allows visitors to experience the world from the perspective of a blind or visually impaired person. Many thanks to the organizers and all attendees, for making this event a highly meaningful and successful one!
